Born in Tehran and based in Italy, Mitra Divshali studied art and cinema at Goldsmiths College in London and at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. She directed documentaries and short films, worked as a graphic artist, and published humorous drawings and illustrations mainly in the Italian press as well as for publishing houses. Her artwork has been shown in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. It quietly inhabits the space between Orient and Occident, carrying a Persian echo within an otherwise cosmopolitan vision. This website presents a selection of her principal work, spanning several series, including Paesaggi and the widely reviewed Vermicelli Persiani.
